Part 2 - Lessons continue with more technique and variations, theory, reading, fretboard knowledge, with greater emphasis on improvisation techniques, and explanation of the songs in a contemporary style for preparation for performance.
Intermediate		Intermediate
Part 1 - Lessons cover scales, transposition, more guitar techniques, introduction to ear training, arpeggios, theory, improvising in different keys, explanation of songs in a contemporary style for preparation for performance, and reading with emphasis on duets and classical repertoire.		Part 2 - Lessons cover chord construction, modes, learning solos by transcription, advanced soloing concepts, sight singing and melodic dictation, and explanation of assigned musical pieces for preparation for performance.
Advanced		Advanced
Part 1 - Lessons cover guitar techniques in a classical guitar method, basic soloing in the jazz guitar idiom, arpeggio and scale application in improvisation, advanced rhythm guitar playing, study of jazz and classical literature with explanation for preparation for performance.		Part 2 - Lessons continue with advanced classical and jazz guitar techniques, sight reading, ear training, melodic dictation, student transcriptions of assigned pieces, and further development of assigned musical pieces for preparation for performance.
